2007 TX Rescue Statistics

In 2007, 75 Scotties were rescued in Texas.

 

They were:

                Males                                    44             59%

                Females                               31             41%

Their Ages were:

                3 - 6 Months                          16              21%

                6 - 12 Months                         6                 8 %

                1 - 3 Years                            21               28%

                3 - 6 Years                            18               24%

                6 - 9 Years                             10              14%

                9 - 12 Years                            2                2.5%

                Over 12 Years                        2                2.5%

No Scotties had to be euthanized.   In addition, 26 Scottie mixes, Westies, Cairns and Schnauzers were also successfully rescued and placed in the Texas program.  

NOTE:  Of the 75 Scotties rescued, the North Texas Scottie Rescue (Margy Tucker in the Dallas-Fort Worth area) had the most with 56.
